You understand body mechanics and now you are ready to take it to the next level with creature animation. This workshop is tailored to teach you the essence of animal and creature locomotion ? how an animal or creature runs, walks, senses, stops and turns. Use your power of keen observation and challenge yourself to learn to animate believable creatures from top professional animators.

The Industry Need
The entertainment industry is always looking for animators with a broad skill set and creature animation makes your demo reel a standout at studios like Industrial Light & Magic, Blizzard, and commercial and television FX houses that deal with realistic animation. Animation Mentor Co-founder and ILM Lead Animator, Shawn Kelly, describes why solid creature animators are needed.

Professional Animators Mentor You to Be Successful
Our creature mentors have over 100 film credits combined and are from well-known studios such as Industrial Light & Magic (Star Wars, Transformers) and Sony Imageworks (Spider-Man). Each mentor has extensive experience in the film industry, so take advantage of each mentor?s expertise and get the MOST out of this workshop to help build and improve your animation skill set.
